Cumnor keep the winning spirit.
With only 14 players, everyone had to do their job, and Cumnor played two splendid matches against two strong Didcot teams.
In the first match Cumnor fought hard to get to half time with the scores level. George M, Charlie T and William controlled the midfield with Lewis providing an outlet upfield. Hugo and George D patrolled the defences with two Didcot attackers permenantly upfield.
In the second half two unfortunate goals made things look good for Didcot but the team battled on to make sure that the lead didn't grow, and in the dieing seconds Cumnor had the chance to make the score a little closer, but it was not to be. Man of the match was Charlie T for covering an enormous distance and making some crucial tackles.
In the second match, Cumnor always looked the better side, and had five or six chances to take the lead before Tom managed to produce another of his long shots to break the deadlock. An important save by Joseph early in the second half let Cumnor stay in contention before Harry managed to drew the scores level with his first goal of the season. To be followed closely by his second. And Cumnor won just at the wire. Man of the match couldn't be seperated between Harry and Tom.
