18th October Away vs Ardington (L 1-6)

A tough match against a very good passing side caught Cumnor on an off day.

In the first match the team battled valiantly with Ardington having the greater possession and looking threatening in attack. However the defences held firm and Cumnor were unlucky to go a goal behind. Cumnor battled back and Louis picked up a chance after some goalmouth ping pong to put Cumnor back on level terms. From then on, Cumnor kept the game tight and were hoping to go in level after the first match. Some good passing from Ardington undid that and after the first game Cumnor were trailing by a goal.

In the second match, a strong Cumnor team battled for the first half to try and regain the initiative. Cumnor expended a lot of energy but found themselves a goal down. After half time, Cumnor struggled to get a foothold in the game, and a switch of formations to try and force a result let Ardington pick up more goals.
