27th September Home vs Summertown Stars W 5-2

Cumnor got back to winning ways with an assured performance against Summertown Stars.

In the first game a defensive set up, told the game by the scruff of the neck by scoring 2 goals in the first half. Well done to Louie and William for their strikes. George M had another great game running the ball out of defence, while the other defenders (Hugo and George D) stuck valiantly to the task in hand. Summertown starts got one back, but the result was a fair reflection of the game.

In the second game, an attacking set up had much the better of the game. Max got two (including one "wonder" goal off the crossbar) and picked up the man of the match by popular demand. Charlie T had an excellent first debut, and the whole of the squad played attractive football. Tom got the third (in case you were wondering).

Things bode well for the future.
