20th September Home vs Kidlington D 1-1

First of all a big well done to the tea shop who raised a record £58.94, and to the U8s for being half of our customers!

The Kidlington match was a close fought contest, and either side could have won.

Cumnor played well in the first match, with Cameron and Matthew making great runs in the midfield, and the defence looking solid at the back. Cumnor probably had the better of the chances, and eventually took the lead with in the second half with Matthew beating two defenders before leaving the goalkeeper no chance. Unfortunately with 5 minutes to go Cumnor were caught out and Kidlington levelled the score. Matthew got man of the match for his goal.

In the second match, both teams had chances. Joseph, in only his first start in goal, had a great game looking solid and making some memorable saves. Max and Harry looked after the midfield with boundless energy. It was an exciting game even if no goals were scored. Moment of the match was the last ditch tackle by George M as Kidlington broke through the defences. The coaches couldn't decide between Joseph and George M, so they are both men of the match.
