The Cruyff Turn

"In the Cruyff turn the player exaggerates the action of crossing or shooting. After they have planted the standing leg instead of following through with the cross they stop the kicking foot immediately ahead of the ball. The instep of the kicking foot then draws the ball backwards behind the standing leg and away." (Coaching the Coach p.57)
