Well done to the first team for their display today in the return against Banbury United. In the match at Banbury with a squad of only 7 Cumnor had struggled to get out of their own half, but this time, the team made a real game of it with Cumnor enjoying a reasonable amount of possession, and lengthy spells in the Banbury half. However Banbury were a well drilled team and their movement for the first goal put them deservedly ahead at half time. A few unfortunate slips in the second half game made the scoreline sound worse that it actually was, but nonetheless Cumnor acquited themselves well.
Well cone to the second team as well! They continue to pull together as a unit, with some extremely solid tackling by both Issac and Edward, and some great work by Guy in midfield. Lucy missed out on her normal poacher's goal although she did have make a couple of good oppoortunities.
Next season will be interesting.
