After the rain of last week, a beautiful day for an enjoyable friendly against Garden City.
The first team got off to a flying start and were quickly 3 up against a Garden City side who had been difficult to break down. An innvotive defensive shape seemed to be working well, until a good break by Garden city allowed them to get one back. But Cumnor stuck to the task, and went in at half time leading 5-1. Some more shakeups saw William donning the goalkeepers jersey and Adam leading the attack. A good match and we look forward to next weeks Cup match against Banbury United.
The second team continue to play very solidly, with Lucy's poaching paying dividends. A highly entertaining match saw Garden City take a two goal lead, but Cumnor claw their way back to tie the scores just after half time. After that it could have been anyone's game. Unfortunately it was Garden City who snatched the winning goal, but another good performance by Cumnor.
A superb performance by the refereee under undue pressure from the Cumnor coaches.
