Witney Vikings Away 15th December (W 9-0, W 4-0)

In the final game before Christmas, Cumnor fielded another experimental team with Cameron, Charlie and George M providing the engine house, and George D and Adam the defensive wall.

On a muddy pitch, Harry still sped to a hat trick in the first half, and was rewarded with a second half in goal, at which point Max (who had been playing in goal), looked like doing the same with two quick goals at the start of the second half. But it was not to be, and Max had to let his team mates on the score sheet.

Cameron kept up a fine scoring record with two even though he seemed to like wallowing around in the muddy goal mouth at some points rather than scoring. Adam and Charlie each got their name on the score sheet.

In the second game, the Witney Vikings fielded largely the same team, but having played a full first match were overrun by Cumnor's fresh legs. Guy had another excellent match with his natural speed providing a great outlet for the defenders. Lucy kept her sharp shooting going and was unlucky not to get a hat trick.
