Tower Hill Away 1st December (W 2-0, L 1-2)

It was a cold and blustery early morning start as Cumnor Minors met Tower Hill for the second time. This was always going to be a very tough and close encounter.

In the first match George M and Charlie were as solid as a rock in defence. The midfield trio of William, Max and Tom weathered some tough tackling and kept possession really well. Tom made some magnificent throw in's right into the Tower Hill box. A thumping ball into the box from Charlie fell to Harry who calmly passed it into the net (1-0 at half time). The second half was also tight with very few chances. A great pass through to Harry saw him win a penalty after trying to go round the keeper. He kept his nerve and blasted it in. Tower Hill made a big effort in the last few minutes and Adam made some important stops for another clean sheet. Final score 2-0.

In the second match Cumnor started really well and it wasn’t long before Lucy scored the opener. George D made several crucial stops in defence and Guy and Isaac made some good runs out of midfield. In the second half Isaac swapped with Edward in goal. Cameron made some breaks up the wing with Edward and Philip working tirelessly in midfield. Some Tower Hill substitutions led to Cumnor coming under increased pressure and despite a great effort Cumnor lost 2-1.
