Back to Winning Ways!

One week on from the first defeat of the season and it was back to winning ways. The team clicked from the first whistle with some slick passing resulting in the first goal scored by Max. Further goals from Tom, William and Harry (2) left Cumnor 5-0 up at half time. Defensively Adam in goal, Charlie and George M were in control. At half time George D came on for William and partnered George M in defence with Charlie moving into the midfield. Two more goals from Harry and an early contender for goal of the season from Tom wrapped up a comfortable victory.

This game was totally dominated by Cumnor and how the boys never scored will remain a mystery for ever. The dominance was such that the defence of Phillip in goal, William and August was rarely troubled in the first half. Fantastic running and tackling from the midfield of Hugo and Edward was a joy to watch. Up front Guy worked tirelessly and Adam ran his socks off and was unlucky not to be rewarded for his efforts. To their credit Tower Hill Stars defended resolutely and honours were even, well played to all.
